German Mills is a community within the city of Markham in Ontario, Canada. The easternmost community in the historic town of Thornhill. It is now primarily a residential neighbourhood.

German Mills is to the southeast of Langstaff, and to the north of Bayview Woods-Steeles and Hillcrest Village. The Highway 404 interchange with Highway 407 occupies the northeastern area and serves as a natural border to the east and north respectively. John Street also forms a natural border to the south. The neighbourhood is teeming with green spaces and parks such as Bayview Reservoir Park, Valley View Park, Huntington Park, Maple Valley Park, Franklin Carmichael Park, Summerdale Park, Saddle Creek Park and Vanhorn Park. The other few parks in the neighbourhood bear the names of settlers and of settlements namely German Mills Settlers Park – a 26-hectare (64-acre), Berczy Park and Bishop Cross Park. Most parks can be accessed via Willowbrook Road and Green Lane.

Thornhill Community Centre occupies the southwestern corner of Bayview Avenue and John Street.
