Stouffville (/ˈstoʊvɪl/) is the main centralized urban area of Whitchurch-Stouffville in the York Region of Ontario, Canada. It is located on the outskirts of the Greater Toronto Area and the inner ring of the Golden Horseshoe. The urban area has a central location at the intersections of Main Street (York Regional Road 14), Mill Street, and Market Street. According to statistics, the population of the Community of Stouffville grew by 100.5% between 2006 and 2011, with a total population of 24,886 up from 12,411, or in other words a growth to 66% of the total population of Whitchurch-Stouffville, up from only about half – 51%.
Stouffville’s urban area is approximately 4.5 km in length, starting at the York-Durham Line to Highway 48, and then roughly 2.7 km wide covering north and south of Main Street. A golf course and farmland surround Stouffville. Central Stouffville is located on the Oak Ridges Moraine and the Rouge River watershed.
